Default Fort Myers

I have an opportunity in Ft Myers that would require me to move and live there. While I am pretty familiar with the east coast of FL, what is everyone's take on living in the Ft Myers area?

I've only been there once, but it was really nice, IMHO...

If I had a business opportunity in that area I would not hesitate to move there. Just not much for anything in my field there.

You would be much better off in Cape Coral, which would be a short commute. I have several friends with winter homes there. Awesome place, just not a little pricey.

You are kidding right?

Its nice over there, boating to me is better then this side. But it does have traffic issues and for me there just wasn’t much work over there. It’s was our first choice when we were looking to move.

ICULooking lives on that side.

We have a condo in Bonita Springs small little town between ft Myers and Naples, Ft Myers is great but its a big city and they have problems like all cities, they are redoing the downtown district as well. Every time we go we are amazed at how much they are expanding and building, We cant wait to get out of new England and be down there.

So, it sounds like its a pretty decent place to live. I will investigate further. Thanks for all of the comments.

That whole west coast area is great. been down there mucho times. and then you have that big performance boat club there too. Lots of guys here are members and have places around there.

One warning: if you have a fear of heights driving next to white knuckle cliffs, this area may not be for you.
