Top Midsize Offshore Boats Available
Here's our latest article of midsize offshore boats available right now. A really popular category, 28 to 32' but we focused on the 28-30 to keep it short. I really love the Outerlimits SV 29 and the Lavey Craft Evo is very cool too.

I've got a 2014 29 Rockit, 565EFI with 56 hours on it, brand new aluminum trailer last summer.

I like the Outerlimits SV 29 and Lavey Evo as well.

All fantastic small perf v's. Wish I saw more of them around in South FL, been looking for an OL 29.

If Will's still building these this would be my choice in this category

Superboat 30 Y2k...they're also building the 27 Kryptonite now too. Both are near unbeatable in rough water.

Ya, the Kryptonite are excellent hulls, no doubt. Have they popped a new consumer, non CC version yet?

Lavey ---- are all Gel coated -- no paint - no graphics. Also the top deck and hull are bonded together making that structure one complete piece. Not like a few of the other brands mentioned up here whom just screw their top deck to the hull.
I seen those pics plus worked on a few of the other boat manu's - the banana peel effect of the top deck coming apart from the hull. Cheap build process for those brands. |

WOW..... I really like the canopied Lavey. Why not notch the "bustle" and pop 2 400s on there? Yeah, A/C, maybe add a small side window for the rear seat, nice interior; make the top removable; this is the ultimate sport vee. I think this could be a very popular boat with the right exposure and a definite money maker for Lavey......... if it was priced right.

Notching the bustle can absolutely be done to fit twin outboards! The 28 EVO uses the same bottom mold as the Lavey 2750 NuEra and they are in the process of building a twin Merc 300 boat right now https://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/...outboards.html The 28 EVO-R pictured above does in fact have A/C, the top is removable with two people, suspension seats, full harnesses, and a small back side window can also be done! In the article it said the 28 EVO ran 97mph with the Ilmor 710, but the fastest it went was actually 106mph and the fastest one ever built ran 127mph with a GT1100. https://i.imgur.com/6MHBXZ3.jpg https://i.imgur.com/BR9rvmq.jpg |
I want one

Beautiful!

seems the drive indicators have a slight clearance issue...........and their not present in the second pic. is that foam tube used to seal the canopy.
|
I was wondering the same. Curious as to how well the canopy seals when installed. I guess if there were latches in the right places may not be an issue. In one pic it looks like there are rear seats so I guess its 2 buckets? I think 400s would be too much.

The lid is sealed via a 3M neoprene strip and does not have air leaks/whistles. Rear seating on that boat was 1 single bucket but can also be 2 buckets. If you look close you can almost see the neoprene seal in the last pic. https://i.imgur.com/5OgBaRT.jpg https://i.imgur.com/JbF7Qeo.jpg https://i.imgur.com/WQOQa5c.jpg |
