Full Fleet Hull Replacement Underway for P1 SuperStock USA

Thanks to Wilson Custom Composites, the entire fleet of P1 SuperStock USA raceboats is undergoing hull replacements that are expected to be finished well before the opening race in late April at Miami Marine Stadium. And yes, there is going to be boat racing again at the historic venue.

I would be interested in the before and after performance gains if they would like to share. Is it still the same bottom just lighter or have there been modifications. I still would prefer to see small blocks making noise in them. Congrats on the project.

But the 300XS is so cheap. Easy entry...

Taking 800lbs out of that boat is more likely to have adverse performance effects than any kind of performance gains. The P1 hulls are already significantly lighter than the original fountain that hull came from. Contrary to what many people believe a Boat that is too light for its lines is just as much a problem as one that is too heavy.

the verado pricing isn't way out there from the 300xs's...weight gains yes but still an entry level class $$$

they look like a blast to race.

Too Cool that there is going to be racing Stadium again. Any recent pics of the restoration of it?

This method will get the boats all to the same base weight. They can be ballasted to the get the desired performance if needed. The person who can set the boat up the best has a clear advantage compared to inconsistent weights that multiple manufacturers of the same hull previously introduced. If you get a heavy boat you can't do much about it.
