Good news for Mercury Racing fans—the new 1350/1100 engine joined the 1550/1350 as the company’s second dual-calibration power-adjustable QC4v offering.

216K.... Over the last year I have bought 2 townhouses for less.
I will show this to my son so he will have something to look forward to when he is my age.

$216,000K

If you would have skipped buying that boat with twin 1350's in 2013 and bought Bitcoin you would be worth $579,000,000,000

If the 1100's and the 1350 have the exact same maintenance schedule why not just buy a 1350?? And don't say fuel economy at a $216k purchase price....

Previously the difference was single throttle body and less boost. Same maintenance schedules. Same platforms.

The benefit to this is if you cant find 91 octane fuel like the 1350 needs then you could put in 1100 keys and go get 87-89 octane fuel and still be safe and know your not going to take a chance at blowing a motor.

Long runs Like Miami to Key west and back there are only select places that have 91+ octane and its few and far between.
It really cost mercury nothing to add this feature in other than having a computer with 2 programs instead of 1 and the computer would adjust to lower hp setting and safety.

If I was told correctly, the 1350/1550 makes just a bit more power on the 1350 setting than the 1100/1350 does on the 1350 setting.
