Its a reminder of the reality that is out there when we exceed the limits and are at the mercy of Mother Nature...but ill delete it.

There's absolutely no skill at this speed, it's 100% luck with a single-point running surface...
the FLIGHT CLUB Skater is the ultimate setup and was "borderline" stable at close to this same speed, and it has the stability of two sponsons!
Not saying they won't get lucky and pull this off, but cheating death has happened on several occasions....godspeed!

You're absolutely right. It's super dangerous. This argument gets brought up ever year for the shoot-out or anytime someone goes for a speed record. Breaking speed records whether on land, sea or air is dangerous. There's no way around it. People have died chasing records on bikes, cars, planes, boats and anything else you could run fast enough to record a top speed. It's in the human DNA and spirit to push the limits and that's never going to change. But don't think those involved don't realize the big picture and aren't weighing the risks vs rewards. They know probably better than the vast majority of us, from losing friends and colleagues over the years. I'm just a bystander but I respect their judgment, commend their commitment and am in awe of their gusto. And really, in the end, we have no place doubting their ability or their decisions to chase a record, a dream and a legacy. It's who they are....in my humble opinion.

Whats the actual length of the Fountain kilo boat? What was the actual length of the Outerlimits kilo boat?

Seems like they are both about 39/40 feet right?

sounds like it’s 40’. A 42 lightning cut down enough to lose the beak.
