I read that during the heyday of LSR's, Arfons got his hands on a turbine and the only thing they could find wrong was a stator blade was bent. Not knowing how to straighten it, they cut it out, then just went to 180degrees of the bent one and cut that out too. Back in balance......

whatever it took, they would do for the next number. As a kid, I remember worshipping those guys and of course, God himself, Evil Knievel.
