How "nice: can a 13-yo boat be?

Is the price on this boat a typo or are they serious? Don't get me wrong but wow, all of this for just south of a quarter of a million bucks including the "factory dash" and no mention of a trailer. I will say that I really like the steering wheel though................... Please send me some of what you're smoking

Send me a link to where they sell that steering wheel,I need a blue one
Yes it is high but every seller has to try to hit a homerun, You could find one similar for about 150k and just get the same steering wheel dont worry :food-smiley-007:

speicher lane 02-28-2018 05:12 PM

FWIW......Livorsi wheel (Grimani)

mikebrls 02-28-2018 05:30 PM

I hate to say it but maybe a $ 100 k boat plus it's over 10 years so you will need to pay cash unless you want to go for a BIG % loan

That's what I was thinking. I understand a seller trying to hit a homerun but geez, this would be like hitting the ball from Wrigley Field all the way to Soldier Field, on a fly. Using Chicago as an example only.

IGetWet 02-28-2018 06:39 PM

Yea that add could be added to the “craigslist gold” thread. Cobra....

Speedracer29 02-28-2018 07:17 PM

Salt water boat, throttles on the wrong side, faux wood cabin floor.....pshh, probably has the VacuFlush instead of a Raritan, too.

Yeah but atleast they still offer warranty on the motors on that Cig :D

BUP 02-28-2018 10:54 PM

but the red Fountain has the upgraded cig interior - surely that added to the resale value about 160 K.

Griff 03-01-2018 01:11 AM

Comparable boat on a nice trailer and asking less than half the $$

Consider the source... 'NEW" power using used internals =100% of compeditor's MSRP on equal power..."New" power using NEW internals has to be 200% of market value - its all in the math - works on boats as well apparently

i like that 46 cig. It's simple... and its been for sale forever. I really dont understand the price points on some things especially after the cobbled together engine..

anyone with any dilligence would tear down both sets of motors, trans, and drives. And include that in their offer.

I'd guess someone owes money on that boat (a lot).......so the price hasn't dropped much.

Why bother with 14+ yr old power built by them....I think buying the boat less power would be the smartest way to go.

Maybe you all missed it in the add, but this Fountain is different from all the other Fountains. So obviously its worth twice the money.

I'll give you that for sure, it is different. The bilge looks filthy under the generator, so that's different on a completely new/redone boat. And the red drives, even though red is the heaviest pigment when mixing paint (according to John Force racing) in this case I'll bet that adds at least 1mph just because of the beauty. I guess it is a homerun................. My mistake

Tom A. 03-01-2018 12:04 PM

Wow! I just redid my '03 Donzi ZRC bow to stern with everything new, rebuilt, or refreshed. With my twin 700 Potter motors and SCX drives, it's got to be worth at least $300,000 now!

Woo-Hoo!

Apparently that depends.......... are your drives red? Did you install a great looking steering wheel? Is your bilge filthy? It appears as if the criteria that defines the value of a used boat has "shifted". So if the answers are no to any of these questions, would you take $60K for the Donzi?

I need about $450 for my Cig :band:

class6 03-02-2018 08:49 AM

I would have changed the tanks on the pumps and coolant tanks on the motors also. They look really yellow and brittle. Hoses are probably the same. What’s with the wood under the generator? Everything new? I like to see the pictures of it stripped down and gone through.

thirdchildhood 03-02-2018 09:08 AM

When I see a 13 year old boat that says "completely redone" I wonder why it needed to be completely redone already ...

IGetWet 03-02-2018 09:13 AM

Is that a “different” fountain symbol on the sunpad? That’s definitely not the lightning bolts.

Speedracer29 03-02-2018 09:42 AM

My boat is twice as old and half as long. So $245k divided by 2, divided by 2 again, carry the 1..... well that puts mine about $61.25k. Nope, you’re all wrong, the math looks fine to me! LMAO

Edit: price lowered to $61k, because I still have the factory dash, but not the fancy steering wheel.:lolhit:

Level III Chaos 03-02-2018 10:12 AM

Okay.....need to double the price of mine! :ernaehrung004:

Those "underwater" LED's are going to be out of the water as soon as the boat planes too.

Where do I send the Check?

Hey Quinlan, I do believe you forgot the "K" after $450. LOL!

sprsptr 03-02-2018 10:44 AM

IMHO - Red drives and tabs are garish. First thing I changed when I bought my Tiger with the same "classy" red treatment. Boat needs more power, but at least you can wait for a tow in air conditioned comfort when you blow a Bravo!

obnoxus 03-02-2018 01:25 PM

Must have just been listing what it sold for new

Just info - its actually a UFLEX Grimani steering wheel from Italy then distributor thru UFLEX USA in Sarasota FL. Yes Livorsi sells them but they are UFLEX steering wheels, plus Mercury buys these exact steering wheels and sells them under the Merc name. . Just info for whomever

SecondWind 03-03-2018 05:15 AM

The steering wheel and transom LEDs are expensive upgrades. Those add ons add up:party-smiley-048:

Wildman_grafix 03-03-2018 07:26 AM

I don’t like painted Bravos, every time you blow one up you have to paint another one.
