Seakeeper

anyone gonna try one in a fast boat? Should make it fly flat id think.

pstorti 03-02-2018 01:50 PM

Nortech has put them in the 45' cc for that reason among others 88mph boat i think with 5 400s

Interesting. OB boats probably tend to kick the bow up a lot.

id think a cat could really benefit

Mystic Installed one in a M4200 CC John and Greg from the company said it is incredible....

TURBO JET 03-02-2018 10:54 PM

It’s to heavy it would no longer be a fast boat

some boats get some ballast added to run flat. This device would be much more effective for the amount of added weight.

seakeeper 2, for boats 27 to 32 feet
weight 414 lbs.
it's very heavy, 22,700 dollars heavy, that's before installation any extra charging and battery requirements.

you'll never see one in a performance boat because the electricity needed to run it would dim the underwater led lights
no one could charge a celly to tweet there bff's and post kardashian style videos about themselves
plus what about the the juice for all the amps and subwoofers that a performance boat clearly needs

Also, if it doesn’t have a bathroom, AC and gen, it’s a race boat and doesn’t qualify for record speed attempts.

ya crotchety old sport fish lovers **** a brick over how a 24* deadrise is “tender” and rolls a lot on the drift. It’s never bothered me but a lot of folks don’t handle it well.

I don't know. A boat is supposed to rock and roll with the waves. Making a boat an "immovable object" slamming into waves don't seem like it would be to healthy for the boat. They even say it has to be bolted down like a Saturn racket because the waves are trying to separate from the hull. 60, 70, 80 mph that $hit would get wild.

Definitely takes away the rock and roll while stationary and really stabilizes it at speed in rougher water, rides like its on rails, ask berns!
