Fabio Buzzi raises diesel powerboat Guinness World Speed Record
It looks like we did not get my boat done in time. I guess we will need to turn my engines up a lot more, or borrow someone's smaller, lighter boat to put them in. Rons 368 rudder canopy boat would work pretty good.

Buzzi is a innovator that's for sure, I meet him once back in the 90's when he was running La Grand Argentina 50, smart guy, alot of bravdo, that is actually how I meet John Cosker of Mystic Power boat, John was their Prop engineer and crew chief...

Go for it - not as big of an undertaking as the Bermuda Challenge (and you did that twice)... besides, who else has actually taken Fabio's titles from him?

That hydro is going to be a little dicey Mid Atlantic, especially once they have to bungy on all those 55 gal drums of diesel to the top side. Great run though. Maybe Unlimited Hydro Diesels will be the next big thing in boat racing.

Wow! He is way older than I thought. He was born in 1943. He drove that boat for the record.
I dont know what is more of an achievement. Driving a diesel at 172 MPH or driving a boat at 172 MPH at 75 years old. My old man is the same age and he is definitely not racing anything except legos cars with his grandson.

Great achievement for the FB team and respectfully admire driving at that age, however.........
Lake Como is a beautiful lake (I think it has a speed limit at 40 mph or something like that) but it's nothing like hitting the ocean. Different boats, different waters, different speeds and different records.
