If your boat is in production over Thanksgiving, Christmas & New Years that inherently is going to result in delays. Prep for the Miami Boat Show would be another contributing factor.

B/C I built two 34's one that went in the mold in Oct 2014 and finished in April of 2015 as a 2015 & another that started in May of 2016 & completed in Oct 2016 as a 2017 model.
I currently hold a 2019 390 production slot that is approx 7 weeks out.

I don't know that I'm right just sharing my personal experiences. I think everyone's build is going to be a bit different and timing is everything whether that be parts availability, an approaching hurricane or holidays.
IMO 4-5 mos is the typical build time but most want their boats for summer. Ordering a boat mid summer might equate to a quicker build out.

I'm at 16 weeks since ordering my 400s upgrade, and they have not shipped yet. Hopefully next week. When originally ordered, Merc set the ship date at 5/13, 13 weeks. I'm just bringing this up because most builders order engines anticipating an arrival date. If that date is elongated by a month, it could impact boat delivery. But I also assume it would mostly be an issue when wait times are transitioning, like they did this spring. If the new wait times are closer to 4 months than 3 months, then builders will take that into consideration when deciding what date to order the engines.
It does make the buyer lock into an engine choice a bit earlier in the process though.

Are you telling us the 34 NT's only last 2 years?
