Midwest Fall/Winter Gathering
 

Any word of one??
I know Wally put on a great get together lasst November.
It was an awesome time.
70+ people from all around the midwest and even a couple off the coast.

Lets hear it, do we hire Wally to organize the Second Annual Dave & Busters gathering???

I vote for it.

I'll organize another but dont count on it being at D&B again! That place was cool but they were expensive! I think our final count was 82 people but i felt bad getting money from people who showed up late and didnt get any of the food. I know i warned everyone but still... :(

We had some left over money that i gave to the waiters to split cause they handled our group very well considering the size of us!

There was an OSO member that i cant remember who that was tell'n me about some rib joint or somehting like that they knew of that would be able to set us up nicely......who were you?

Cashbrain, you want to chime in here? Make this an OSO/COPS thing???

I am going to do the Mid-Atlantic OSO/Powerboater Winter Chill-Out again in February. I have yet to research a venue, but I am looking into the indoor pro go-karts like SCOPE does. This will not be a cheap event, but not everyone will have to race to come. It will be an optional thing; if we go that route. The good part is, the go-kart track is about 10 minutes from Dulles Airport, and this will be an open event for anyone to fly in and attend!!
Racing is going to be about $60 bucks a person; and is money VERY WELL SPENT!!

It was fun meeting everybody. Ill be there again and try to drag some more Ohio members with me. 5 hr. drive no big deal anymore.

Wally did a heck of a job last year, and it was one of the highlights of my winter. Thank you, Wally. If you're willing to do the work again, that would be great! November worked okay for us last year, though it would not be the same without Mr. and Mrs. Troutly, the first OSOer's I ever met in person. (did you two know that?)

Dec is out for me
way to many things going on.
Jan is open and so is Feb
But march is a done gone scheduled weekend month for me :(
Not that is really matters if I am there, but no one else was chipping in for the Photo Finally :)

I think a Jan/Feb get together might be a good time.

I was going to offer to arrange the party or at l;east help this year since Im sitting around recovering from surgery anyway but I may have to get cut again. I was going to check into the Wellington in Arlington Hts. They are a banquet hall and have great food and drinks. I could call them and see what they could offer but I cant commit to putting much effort into this thing.

Wally, shoot me an email when you get a chance with the number of people from last year and the price and Ill at least call and see if I can get a price. I work for the police dept. in Arlington Hts. and we have all our parties, etc. there so I may get a deal. They have some of the best prime rib around.

How about sometime in January when things have settled down from the Holidays??

Maybe 2nd or 3rd weekend after New Years??

Lets get some dialogue goin'.

P.S. Hey Wally-- I would be happy to assist in planning the whole gig. Let me know. I might even be able to get the band I do sound for to play if the place is big enough. :D

I'm in! Wally did a great job with D&B's last year. Like Wally my only complaint about D&B's was the food. Will D&B's rent the space and let us order off of the menu? If not it sounds like Intolerant1 has a nice place. I'm up for anything!

I have a bunch of Freeze Frame videos I can bring. November, January or February would be great. The only conflicts would be the Key West races and the Miami boat show. If we open the event up to non-OSO members to help promote OSO we may be able to get Jeffery and Steve to come up with some door prizes. ;) Just an idea.

November is to close now as it would be hard for me to get a ticket and don't forget we have Thnanksgiving in there, so I will be in Cali for the last week of the month. December is touch as everyone is getting ready for the holidays. I could definatly be in for later in January or Feb. :D:D

Let me know. I can also bring some stuff to raffle off to raise some money :D:D
