New Mercury 500 Outboards
Im sure many have seen the new line of Merc outboards photos were circulating yesterday and before that. The real question is who has the scoop on the new Merc Race 500???

the 500 is supposed to be released next year I believe ? this is a shot in the dark, but I think this motor is more than 400HP (even though it says 115) and is being tested over seas if thread gets deleted it means we should not be asking this yet...muhahahaha https://farm1.staticflickr.com/955/2...8481d978_b.jpg . |
Any info on weight of the new Verado V8? Couldn’t find anything on mercs website. |
512 lbs. - 566 lbs. depending on motor and options.

@ Noli, I'm pretty sure that boat is part of the new youth program. Just happen to have been on a Bayliner with a 115 Pro XS engine past weekend and the engine is exactly the same as in the pic. Can't imagine they are pushing 500 horses out of the same platform.

Yamaha is growing there HP #s for cruiser type or CC boats so Merc will be coming up with something soon
