Mercury Racing Alternator Question

I have Gen VI 525SCs and both engines have a 2-wire isolator mounted to each alternator. The mounting ear on one has snapped off and I need to replace it. Does anyone know what Mercury calls this thing or maybe a part #? I cannot find it on any parts schematic. Its a small rectangular box about 1"x1"x3". Thanks.

I spoke with him, waiting for a photo so I can figure out what it is.

I am not near the boat for a few days but I can tell you its not a voltage regulator because it only has two wires, red and white. Its gotta be an isolator of some sort. And its a stock part with a single thru-hole that uses the alternator housing bolt to mount. It is NOWHERE on the factory diagrams.

Thunderous... any of the images show the part you're after if you search for Mercury Racing alternator under images (ie. Google)???

It's probably a capacitor/condensor to damp rf interference

like this? https://www.ebay.com/itm/UZB111-alte...-/231355877084

if it's got two wires and a ground lug then it's a regulator

I have image searched 10 pages deep on Google no luck. Its not a voltage regulator, it only has two wires and you'd need at least three for a VR. Besides, I think all the blue engine Merc alternators were internally regulated. I suspect it is an isolator to prevent electrical system interference. I hate I posted without pics but I figured for sure someone would know.

yup its a RF interference module. had one short out and pop the breaker on the starter, on a buddies boat last year. if you don't use the am/fm radio its not needed.
