Why would a company opt to put their modified ECM's on a Fountain splash Cat vs. a DW or a Skater model that has a mountain of prop/set-up performance data on numerous proven hulls with the 400 to actually use as a base-line for what the ECM is actually producing??

Ahhh, so the 300R is kind of the 525 of the outboard world.

Just looked at the specs of the 400R, Holy crap, I didnt realize it is a supercharged 2.6L inline 6.

Good analogy, Keith. I think the key world when you look at the Mercury Marine 4.6-liter V-8 outboard platform is: potential.

Is the same principals that put together the original 32’ smart marine/Phoenix still involved with iconic/fountain/thunder marine 32’ cat?

8 MPH with a ECU upgrade only is great if possable. How much HP does it take to get an extra 8 MPH out of these style boats?

Does the 300R still need to run on premium fuel?

so if the 400R has a tune, that would mean the XCat 15" racing motors 400ROS can also have a tune....and it just hit me that there's one team that continues to win year after year...just sayin'
