GPS speedo recall

mr_velocity 10-23-2002 07:31 PM

yea I'd be happy too if I was doing 90 while spinning the motors at 800 rpm. But you better twist that right throttle and get that motor in sync.

cobra marty 10-23-2002 07:32 PM

WOW! 90 MPH at 7-800 RPM.

What drive ratios and props and rpm.

rpm 10-23-2002 07:36 PM

OK guys, gps speedo recall at idle.

5600 on the limiters turning 32 Labbed Bravo I's with 1.50 ratio XZ's

I'm thinking 2-3 more MPH.

Hey Scott,
How are you guys doing up in the great white north? Did you find a boat? We sure had a great time at the run this summer. Dwight

Joe, yes, the water temp is close to that high. We are using 160* t-stats and recirculating pumps.

Scott, I think I can fix you up. I'll be back in the office sometime tomorrow.

I do; what is the optimum temp?!?

KAAMA 10-26-2002 09:11 PM

Actually, a running temp of 180* isn't a bad temp---engines make good power when they run warm. My engines temps (on plane) are between 155* and 170* while running a 160* thermostat.
