Anyone Know the Quality of Commander Boats?

Looking at a 2004 28 Commander Cat. Does anyone know the quality of them? From what I have read so far is two end of the spectrum. Any insight would be helpful

Riverdavesplace is probably your best bet for feedback since they're mostly west coasters there.

I have a 2004 2800 open bow cat with a 496 ho for the money it is a great boat. Not the quality of a Eliminator but a well made boat. Some of the quality of the interior, wiring, lighting, and swim ladder could be better. but the hull and fiberglass are solid with no cracks or flex. You can in the off season work on some of its shortcoming and improve the boat .Good Luck

I guess the other thought is where are you boating? A certain build quality might be good enough for a lake or river, but might be unsuitable for the big waters.

I owned one for 10 years and would say that quality and Commander should not be used in the same sentence, they were a lot less money than other boats for a reason, but they are nice looking, My biggest beef was that they had known safety issues and did nothing to inform owners. and as Indy said lake and rivers, no big water EVER.
Way better boats around.
