A buddy of mine calls. say's let's go to the Pirates Lair (boat place) for lunch.
Then he say's meet him @ the Byron Airport.
What a "Cool" way to see the Delta. (bucket list ride) if you ever are offered the opportunity ... Take it. Name: thumbsup.gif

Thanks, I grew up in small planes like that Cub. Brought back many good memories of my Dad who is no longer with us. I lived for the weekends when he would say, come on, let's go flying. There is nothing in the world like flying low and slow in a small two place like that!!!!

Second best time to boating! Some of the best times I’ve had were in our old J3 and showing my son the joys of aviation in our old Cessna 180.

Thanks for sharing

That is the CA Delta, it is said to be over 1000 miles of navigable water. We were flying over several smaller rivers, the Sacramento River, and the San Joaquin River.

Looks like a cool place. Is that where you normally boat?

I am amazed at the number of boats in the Delta! Also, the contrast from irrigated land to desert! Cool photo montage. Thanks for posting!

Yes, plus our yearly Shasta trip. We do have access to the Pacific ocean from the Delta, I have been out the gate south to Half Moon Bay.
