Hi. Got any ideas on a reasonable motel for us near Hammond for the Oct. 26 COPS party? They need to allow small pets. Thanks in advance. Oh, by the way, is it a costume thing? I could always come as a blow-boater.
P.S. I got a haircut since we've seen you. I don't look like a dope-smoking biker anymore.

Crazyhorse,
Patti is going to check if there is a small hotel in the area that will take pets.
Got your message over the weekend. Sorry we didn't call. I had some work problems on Saturday morning, then went out and changed oil on the boat. And went for a short river ride then got caught in the wind and rain.
I guess it's more like a theme party. Everyone is to dress like Pirates.
We'll let you know what we find out.
Mark

Argh, matey. Does my aftermarket knee count as a wooden leg? I can paint one of the lenses of my glasses black too. Any idea what a bilge swabbie dressed like in the good old days? Or are we talking a pirate ship from the slightly newer good old days when they had stokers to fire the boilers?

After running a search on lodging in the area I came up with a Residence Inn on Corinne Drive that accepts pets. Do you know anything about this motel? Others in the area might take pets but don't put the info on their web pages. We'll check them out and let you know. Searay comes out next Sunday 10 A.M.

Sorry, I actually had a lot of work to do today! Anyway, I called and came up with the same Residence Inn (7740 Corinne Dr PH: 219-844-8440) off I94 just south of Indianapolis blvd. The other is a Motel 6 3840 179th Street in Hammond. Both are a bit of a drive to the Marina and lake, but all others I've called do not take pets. Not to many beautiful attractions here in the arm pit of NW Indiana. Now if it were Mich. City IN it would be maybe a little easier. I would take the Residence Inn, it's right off the "spressway" and they were nice when I called.

You're a sweetie. I can't thank you enough for doing the footwork for us. I'm thinking the Residence is the one to take. I'll have Barb make the reservations tomorrow. Can't wait to see you two again, as well as the Fox Hunters. Can I come dressed as a Pittsburgh Pirate?? We may have to come as just ourselves. If I recall it's 20 bucks a head, right?
