If you are looking for speed they are not the engine.
I think the lower units can handle it. They have the same dual shaft design as the Merc 6 or 8 drive.
I don't like the look of 3 or more outboards on a sport boat. If you need 4 outboards why not get twin I/O's.

It remains to be seen if these high HP outboards can keep the lowers together. Hence the reason that Seven-Marine has stayed aimed at the big CC market where the boats don’t leap/leave the water as often. They just can’t handle the unloading and loading of the lower halves.

I pass the Volvo test facility weekly and noticed recently they have a few center consoles with 7's on them, definitely started testing them there. One is a Single on what looks like a 27-30 center console the other is twins on a fountain.
I know it's not the style of OSO but a 40 Invincible cat with quad 350's just made its way to our local waters, bad ass.
