Gaylords fiberglass bed cover for trucks
has any body tried the new gaylords X2000 bed cover with the new stainless steel x hinge quick release system. the cover runs about $ 900. on a long beds plus shipping, so its higher than the other covers. any input???

Rob,
I have used Gaylord's covers for about 5 years now. They make an excellent product. My warehouse is getting ready to get their first shipment of the X2000s in. I have not installed or seen one yet. I can tell you that I sell two different brands of bed covers and Gaylord's is my higher end line. They are more expensive because they are worth it IMO. If I get a chance to see or install one in the near future I will be more then happy to give you some feedback.

buck183 i talked to your warehouse in jackson said be about 3 weeks on shipment,they did not know price. gaylord said its been out about 8 months, wondered if any body has one yet,sport truck sulitions has a web site under www.gaylordlids.com show picture of bracket system.sport truck wants about 969.00 plus 120 shipping. autubahn has at 899. plus 100. shipping.

I don't have a warehouse in Jackson. Might have me confused with someone else????
Anyway, if you order from a mail order company do yourself a favor and run, VERY fast, from Autobahn. I have had dealings with this company through my store. I am here to tell you if you have any problems with your order they will NOT help you out any at all!!!! I even have customers come in my store that I've never seen before start cussing them.
