A $10k lower. Nice piece. Curious how they do both speed and reliability behind serious power |

Jeff Harris is at Harris Performance LLC.August 28 at 11:17 PM · Dadeville, ALI've been sworn to secrecy, but the word is out now and I'm proud to say that we have came far enough in this business to where we were able to be the first ones in the nation to not only see, but trial the new Imco Marine dual downshaft sc lower. Imco trusted us enough to send us the only set in existence to run on our procharged Cigarette. We had multiple issues shredding lowers with the heavy boat that was cranking out 975 pounds and 1100 horsepower with the procharged engines we did for it. Long story short, the boat would shred a lower at every event it attended, and after the dual downshaft lower, the boat has went an entire season including havasu and loto without a single hiccup. Imco knocked it out the park here, if the bigger gearcase scx lower isn't for you, if the sc lower is to wimpy for you, if the swap to a number 6 isn't for you, you be gotta check out this lower, it's a real game changer!! |
So these are smaller then the standard SCX lower?
|
Quinlan, from what I gathered. Smaller than a typical SC even.

Wonder if we’ll see an uptick in used SCX’s in the classifieds? |
It was out at the havasu street party back in April. The one pic I took and talk to IMCO in person plus the testing started back before then and continued in April It was not any secret and if you at the street party Havasu back then it was on displayed at HERBS the whole time for anyone to see and throw out your questions.

Are they faster than the standard SC lower or just stronger?
|
Will it bolt to a SCX-4? Would it put the prop 2" deeper?
Does it come "blueprinted"? Is the propshaft stronger yet? I've seen several break and lose the prop too. Who makes a prop for a 1.25" shaft that won't sling blades while surfacing? |
