Usually on a "V" hull you don't have to fill the notch unless the boat is staggered or you have drives that are tipped inward .

Instead of a traditional flybridge he is going to have a dragons head on top of the cabin and it shoots fire onto the bow deck! He will no doubt be piloting it from the top of the dragons head in a concealed helm!

Looks to me that with out the notch being filled in the drop box is exposed Rik would probably know best
