What is that now 5 or 6 different "Spectre" manufacturers in the past few years. Considering Pilini built my boat and it is a 2009 model not sure why his site says not affiliated after 2006, maybe he sold the cat molds before he sold the Sportfish molds to Statement.

I hope I have the history correct here. Jay Pilini was the original owner and designer as we all know. Then Scott Konrad had the molds for a little bit and my understanding only 1 maybe 2 hulls were built. Gary Smith then got the molds and leased them to Sonic and we all know that did not work out well. Smith repo's the molds and sells them to Chris Ivey. Chris built 5-6 boats and decided this was not for him. I was very fortunate to have Chris Ivey work with me on acquiring the Spectre name and molds. We are super excited to be building them and hope to be doing so for a very long time. Thanks Todd

I think it's a good move, one name, one line of boats with a good reputation. Hope all continues to go well.

Since you're here Mr. Lamb, can you tell us what happened to the open design center console cat that was built a few years ago? I think it was 38' and rigged with 300 Verados. Setup as an entertainer but obviously 'fishable' too. I don't know if any more were built but this one was blue and white with a stainless arch I think. Might have been in the Sonic/Spectre days?

Sorry to go off topic but it looked like a winner and I never saw it again.

Hi Todd, my comment wasn't meant as a slight against you guys I hope you have many years of success and bring stability and a good reputation to the Spectre name! I guess the cat molds and V bottom molds all ended up in different places.

No, you are fine. I was just trying to put names to the history. It has been a crazy quest for this company. We only wanted the Spectre company name, the original 30', 32' and 36' Spectre Cat molds. They are the ones we have had the most experience with over the years and wanted to work with those platforms and start improving from there. Thanks

I have to be honest, I have never seen that one. I know that at one time a party deck 32' was going to happen and did not. Please post a picture of it. Thanks Todd

Thanks for your reply Todd.
I've found an old pic from a Sonic website but I am fairly sure it was advertised as a Spectre at the time. There were a couple of cockpit layouts with centerline walk-thru transom and different bow seating.

Anyway, you may recognize the hull as 'not a Spectre' or something else. Looked similar to a Mares cat. Please don't go chasing around for details, I'm not a buyer at the moment, just thought you may know something.

Thanks again and wish you continued success with Spectre.

No, it is good.

I have seen pictures of that boat before, but not with the Spectre Logo on it. I always thought it was a Mares or something like that to. I will do some digging to find out the scoop on it. Yes, that is where the market is strong right now, Go Fast Center Consoles. Thanks
