is the Fountain factory under water??
just wondering how bad the flooding is there and hoping the best for them
|
Found this report :
Images and video posted on Twitter from the town of Washington, North Carolina, show that floodwaters have travelled as much as 30 miles (nearly 50 kilometers) inland along the Pamlico River, drowning the riverfront. |
I wondered this as well today. Prob not too good there with the massive and continuous flooding. What a mess going on!

it has flooded before. I was there all night back in the '90's when a hurricane came through. the problem there is that the river dumps into a big bay so it is a giant funnel when the winds push in. all that water in the bay and all the rain means that when most of the area is 5 feet above the river you get flooded out. when I was there the main building flooded but a couple of the higher buildings did not but it came with in inches of getting to them.

Fountain has moved the boats to a higher ground location with another boat company who worked with them. |
First 39 seconds is Washington, NC on the Palmico River. Note the Army truck video going down the street was submitted by Wyatt Fountain (top right corner)
