Probably not with V8’s. But the newly redesigned I6 is a strong possibility. New displacement will be 3.5L and with the new full cast block should weigh in around 575Lbs, using the new induction system found on the 350/400. This revamped platform is speculated to be good for up to 600 HP.

Are you kidding, Merc is making all people check their phones at the door for this project. Expect to also see a similar mid section in a 20” version with tuner like above water exhaust like whats on the ROS.

i still think that a supercharged V8 is the best platform to get Mercury to the next level of performance outboards. The inline-6 Is maxed out I think
