A little light on the top end. I've been looking for a long time, the average price is going to be in the $70's to 90's. Receintly I saw a 94 that they are asking $175K for (for that kind of money I think you could own Ruckus)

I almost bought one last year for $90 but they couldn't tell me anythng about the custom motors and when you have big blowers you better be able to tell me who built them and have a lot of information.

I see american dream is for sale in the low $120's and has big power. Boats seem to vary greatly, trs vs bravo, hydraulic steering vs none, updated dash & gagues and so on which is to be expected I guess with something in that old.

Since we have all this Cafe knowledge floating around (pun), I've got a stupid question. (Never asked it before - too embarassed)

How does this electric head work? Specifically, there are two valves on the hoses coming in from the hull. One is for the water intake that feeds the head, the other is in the outlet hose for pumping out the holding tank. At what point should I have these valves open/closed? Obviously, the inlet valve needs to be open to flush, but should I close it when running? Should I leave the outlet vlave closed except when dumping the head.

As you can see, we use the enclosed head for storage...

Hi people. I just got a 93/94 cafe racer in decent shape. I got the water pump working and the sink works. The buttons on the head do nothing. On the starboard side under a salon cushion just forward of the galley I see a water inlet valve and then just a non terminated hose next to it and also what looks like a capped plug in the hull. Any insight here would be appreciated. Also, there is a valve/spigot behind the front passenger seat on the side if the cockpit? Is this fresh water sharing the same pump as the sink? Thanks

99% chance the pumps are rusted/burned up and need replaced. If you search my posts from years ago you can find the pump numbers. Advanced search will let you search by my screen name. Try “pump” or “jabsco”. Was probably 10-12 years ago

Edit - one simultaneously pumps water from the river it into the bowl and out to the holding tank and the other one pumps it overboard and if I recall the valves are under the seat….. we always used cheap bottled water to flush instead of sucking salt water in. Use deodorizer

Are both the inlet and output valves right next to each other or are they in different locations? Also, where are the macerator pumps physically located and how do I access them? Circuit Breaker for Toilet has 12VDC.

If memory serves the valves are both under the starboard couch. You can see the through hulls on the outside of the hull. I think the larger one was overboard discharge and the smaller was inlet. I hate to tell you this but I believe the pumps are under the toilet and I accessed them by pulling out the little stainless steel storage buckets. I recall it was an unpleasant job but that’s all relative after owning these boats for 20 years…..
