Recent Mercury Rocker Arm Failures

According to a recent service bulletin issued by Mercury Marine, there are a number of newer motors that will need rocker arms replaced due to premature bearing failure. This bulletin has so far just been issued for the 8.2 liter 430 HP big block but we are becoming aware that some of the Mercury Racing motors such as the 520 and 565 might have the same issue. What does this all mean? It means that if your motor is included in this bulletin or you are unsure and just want to check if your motor is affected then all you have to do is give Nordic and Hallett Boats a call and ask for the service department.
