Default Need Throttle and Shift Lever

My friend,not on the board, is redoing an old boat and he would like to put on the standard Kiekhaefer white throttle and shift lever with power trim(single engine).

I did a search on Doller and Bam for Throttle and Shift Levers and also for Remote Controls(i heard they were called this too) but I could not come up with anything. I went to Marine Machine's website and found them but not prices, he probably doesnt need those nice ones anyway.

Can anyone point me in the right direction or tell me what I did wrong on those sites.

Thanks all.

The reason why he is looking is because the one he has feel like it has got sand in it or like you are running it through sandpaper. It works, just kinda stractchy and rough.

I would imagine he needs a new one but is there anyway to fix that.

If it is like the Gaffrigs it can be disassembled, cleaned, and greased. Mine worked like a million after I did it. While he's at it he could repaint too.

yes of course;
most of the units are rebuildable; just remove the parts (be careful when aparting th parts there may be seals ,small detail pars etc) ,clean them,use some oils etc (wd40) if needed . and you are done..
good luck

ps: when you apart and cleaned it , dont leave it to next day; rebuild it on the same day....you may loose some parts like cable ends.. .( have an experience)

Check with Puder here on the board, he had one that wouldn't fit my dash.
