Default Joker vs Pantera

How far apart would these 2 boats be . 28 single top speed 90 mph Joker or 28 twin bb Pantera top speed 80 mph .
put the same driver in both boats 4 to 5 foot sea .

I don't know, but I'd bet on the single engine Joker.

Joker is far better balanced than a twin Big Block 28 Pantera.
Take one of the engines out and its a dead heat. Proven many times in OPA Class 5, both boats are epic in big water.

Easy- the Pantera wouldn't be finished, the checks would be cashed but it would be a bare hull sold to 3 different people and the owners would be talking about the old days when they raced in New York!

So the winner would be the Joker!

While I agree, Joker also isn't making boats so kind of a moot point as neither would be a "brand new" boat.

I can only go by what I have seen. With equal power, the Joker will the faster boat for sure. But in big water, it seems like the Joker will get slightly "out of shape" easier.

They made a handful of 28 SRs which had a twin step bottom. Which reminds me that I should say my comment above was comparing the Joker to the non-stepped Pantera.

Most people dont realize how big that is and that you`re not racing anything in that at anywhere near WOT
I think he must be talking about Facebook 4-5s which on social media any guy in a 25' boat can do 70mph in ....easily .
