Anyone going to Key West for New Years?
 
Heading down on the 28th and back on the 2nd

i think my liver has recovered enough from the Poker run to give it another try.

We’ve gone down for NYE several times, both staying in KW as well as taking the camper and Harley down and staying at Boyd’s on Stock Island. I think we enjoy the camping better when it comes to NYE. The best year was when we took over the balcony at at Burger Fi, brought in our out champagne, and the staff celebrated with us. I think that's the only time I've been hammered in KW, WITH my GF present.

You will have a blast. Be sure to make dinner reservations as far in advance as you can.

There are three big party spots on Duval for NYE: Ball Drop, Wench Drop, and the Tranny Drop :eek:

We will be in Marathon over NYE and were kicking around the idea of going down to KW for the celebrations BUT we will have 2 teenage girls with us. Mind you they are mature 17 year old's but still. We may just find a party spot in Islamorada or Marathon

Your family would be FINE on Duvall street. The girls would enjoy it too. It’s nothing like FF or anything. I think the entirety of Duvall is closed and come midnight, at the 3 drops I mention above, there will be 3-block areas of wall to wall people, to the point where it’s quicker to walk a block off Duvall to pass.

Good to know. Thanks. We spend a lot of time in KW but never over NYE or FF so I was not really sure. We are planning on going to FF this year obviously minus the kids :)

Survived another night :)
So last night here in Key West was fun but quite a bit different than during the poker run/ offshore races, not as big of a crowd as race weekend on Duval st but i expect tonight to be way busier, Also different type of crowd, maybe because the boating crowd having something in common just seem friendlier,
But Could of been that i was just drunk and grumpy since my ex texted me over 80 times and called at least 30 times during the day telling me she was here and posted on facebook that she was here with pics from previous trips acting like it was yesterday, so friends were calling asking if she followed me out here again like she did last month.
Anyway the weather is perfect, its been between 75-82 looking forward to tonight, it should be epic
