Default Anyone notice lots of classifieds with no prices..

Why are there so many "call for price".
Are these just dealers???
An add without a price is perceived to be as much more $$$ than everyone else.

..75% of the ads listed that way, that I've checked out , have been dealers.

The prices are usually a "larger" number from what I've experienced.

not totally true
most people don't put $$ in ads due to people looking away
if people are true to what they are looking for the $$ will give them an easy way out. Oh its to much for THAT!
People need to inquire about what interest them.
For instance my boat, Reason I do not have the price is because it is negotiable. If i post a price then it all goes down from there. If someone shows a real interest then the money is talked about.
My deal is a very good deal in my eyes. Someone else may not think that. But they will never know without a true look into something they may wany.
Same as goin to Best Buy, you know you want a new DVD player.
Say you like the JVC brand by past expereince. But now you see a Sony with MORE features, MORE for the $$ but at the same, less or maybe a slight increase over what YOU like in the Jvc. You then buy the Sony.
Kinda the same in a boat, What made me buy and Advantage was everything like the described Jvc-Sony buy.
If you put a $$ on everyhting in life and only live by that, you can loose out.

I usually figure if no price is posted then the deal isn't that great.

There is a simple reason most dealers don't put pricing in their new boat ads.The manufactures ask and sometimes demand that you don't do it.I abide by their wishes and only list MSRP on our new boats on the internet. It has nothing to do with whether the deal is great or not,. Most people that are serious about a new boat will explore a little farther with an e-mail or a phone call.
