Voodoo:

Condolences on having to put up with the ultra liberal left in Minneapolis.

The Dem's are gonna run Walter 'Freakin' Mondale for the spot.

Can you say Socialistic Viewpoint?

Good news is you can s#@t all over them by going to Manny's Steak House, probably thebest steak availble in Minn.

Have a glass of good red wine on me.

If that's the case, why do you Xians pass laws against humans marrying when they become sexually active?? If we humans were made by the biblegod, he(she, it) causes puberty to happen at about 14 for boys, 10-12 for girls. At least that's the ages now, probably different in the past.

Looks like you Xians are thwarting the will of your biblegod. What reason(justification) can you give for this odd state of affairs?

Uh, common sense?

kamma,

one problem with your opinions as to sex and marriage is that it is based on a religous belief of yours. i'm not saying you don't have the right to think this way or that you are incorrect, HOWEVER not all people believe this way.

what scares me about the religous right is their eagerness to impose their beliefs on other people

catmando, i think ashcroft must have spray painted over his chrome shower fixtures so he can't see himself naked:D
maybe he's concerned he will get turned on by seeing a man naked:p

If the people of Minnesota have any sense-which they somewhat exhibited when they elected Jesse-they would all vote for this guy Coleman....For Paul, For paul, For Paul, For Paul...... It is impossible to have a reasonable debate on the serious issues that face this country when the leadership of one party has no concept of what's right and decent. How can you take seriously the argument of someone that defiles a public figure the way these scumbags did the other night?? The only thing missing was the cheerleaders and the high school marching band.....of course the cheerleaders may have been back at Bill's suite:mad: As long as the Dems stay Clintonized there is very little hope left for this country.

Actually Sabre you have simply bought into the left wing media's hype about the Christian right. Aside from their stand on abortion, they really don't try to impose their views on anyone. There are very few counties left that ban alcohol, they could care less in most cases about gambling(but small well-funded groups oppose it for other reasons--$$$), and they have not tryed to get their religion into the schools. The media will tell us all about how terrible a letter writing campaign is when the religious right gets upset over language or sex on TV, but they could care less when some lib atheist group sues to ban Santa Claus from a Christmas tree lighting that already doesn't mention the birth of Christ. No the religious right is small and has just about as much power as the religious atheists like you and Cat-there are always far out wings of every group.

As for Ashcroft and the drape, that was more the politician than the religious man coming out. Had he stood up in front of that big old booby and given his speech, every lefty paper and website would have huge pictures of it and talked about his repressed sexual desires. Either way, he loses.

insptech,

i'm afraid even i, the SUPERHERO COMMONSENSE MAN, cannot save you if you don't think the religous right would not love to impose their morals on the country:p :p

BTW, i'm not even able to see the left wing from where i stand:D

A country is governed not by laws, those are imposed. A country is governed by its values. These are the things that govern daily life, telling the truth, cherishing human life, teaching children the difference between right and wrong, not taking others peoples things, etc.

Most of the issues this country is dealing with is based on its lack of values. From leaders who are liars to snipers to kids killing because someone told them to slow down to trying to gain an advantage from someones death.

You may or may not agree with the religous part, but without some core values in our society, our society will continue to decline.

This whole thread just reinforces that those values (which most of you adhear to wether you admit it or not) are on their way out:(

Look I realize that there is a small group of the right that would love to go back to puritanism, my point is that they are brought up as this huge boogyman by the left during every election cycle. The right does it to, but they don't have the complicity of the media. I can see big old headlines about people like Maxine Waters and Teddy Kennedy and how far left they are...yeah, right.
