I'm going Destin to Miami in 2 weeks... Day 1 Destin to Ft. Myers with a stop in Apalachicola for fuel. Day 2 Ft. Meyers to Marathon. Day 3 Marathon to Miami. Praying for good weather or it could take longer...

For anyone doing these offshore runs a great app is called windfinder. Usually very accurate weather reporting.

I would strongly consider running the okeechobee waterway from fort Myers to Stuart. It will save you a few hundred miles.

We will have this as our backup plan if weather turns bad. We are not looking to save miles, but thanks for the tip.

Twin OB cats are the bomb. People never believed me when I told that my 30' boat got 2.5 - 3 mpg at 75 mph. Cabin? Who needs a cabin when you can outrun the storm?
