Want to add tilt, will this work?
 

I have a 1986 242LS and would really like to add a tilt wheel, will this work with the existing “box” ?

If it is a 3/4" taper on the adapter half it can be made to work. You really need to know what you have and what you need. That is probably for a Seastar hydraulic helm. I had to do some modifications to get one to work on my helm. They are not a 1 fits all scenario. It is a great upgrade.
