Sonic 31 is one of my favorite boats. I would love to have one. Just love the way it sits in the water and the nice lines

Two boats I've always thought sit beautifully at rest, very different boats but they both sit bow up like they're ready to pounce, Sonic 31 and not wanting to offend anyone, :)....... Fountain 32. (but the Soni doesn't look like it's sinking. :D) RR |

Once again, out of all the styles of boats out there the Sonic seems to be best. Don't forget the notched transom, huge difference in performance. My 2 cents. I have many , many hours behind the sticks, one figures out what he likes. |

Kurt.....sorry I can't post photos here anymore, but on my boat co website there are tons of photos of the now known Sonic. Charlie McCarthy's banana boat co
It started in November of 1977 when I hired JC Simon, to design a new 38 foot Open Class race boat for me at the races in Key West, where Betty Cook had just won her World Championship. Delivery was slow and I did not get to race it until 1979, as Top Banana in the Bushmills 1979 race in California. Video on Youtube...put in search engine....Bushmills1979 Banana Boat's became Coyote boats and then Sonic's. The 38 foot mold was designed to be blocked at 34 feet so many of the Production class racers back then were pulled from that same mold...lot's of photos on the website under racing section. Good choice on your Sonic...Best of luck with it. |
Back on the water soon...

Ran a 31 for a decade here at LOTO and it handled the constant washing machine nicely. Best in class in the rough. The 386 I have now is in the middle of being repowered and should be on the water in a couple weeks. |
When I wAtched this video (gorgeous!)on YouTube, the next video to auto play was a broker/sales ad for a beautiful 31’ in Md.

Some nice looking Sonics on this thread, I've always read good things about them, probably deserve more recognition. Reposted for Nate..... https://youtu.be/x6lJVWDH3nE |
