Sorry I can't help w/ the definition of model, but check this out. I thought it was pretty cool. I am not sure if you are into RC stuff or not, but since there was a thread about it a while back, I know some will enjoy.
Cool Boat! |
hint...look at the bow...:D
|
Looks like it has 'beaks'
|
Twin beaks?
Nice Avatar, 2000:D :D :D |
COUGAR! All Aluminum.
|
being Halloween I thought the answer was "it's a black cat". My guess is a cougar also.
|
Cougar
|
Thanks Guys, I could not figure out the beak.

Cougar...................By Fountain
Seriously, I think the picture may have been doctored. I remember the boat well and was probably on board the Helo that took the picture........but, I don't recall those beaks. T2x P.S. Bob Kaiser-Driver Errol Lanier Throttleman/crew chief circa- 1988-89 |
looks like RC . is it?
|
Aluminum Cougar, possibly with welded on extensions to lengthen the boat!
|
Bingo........They had to lengthen the boat to qualify as a 40'super boat.

I guess Reggie thought of that?
Well I guess Reggie thought of doing that huh? Yeah, he seems to like to run boats smaller than the rest of the fleet.
|
Isnt' that the old Gentry Turbo Eagle Boat. Errol Lanier on the throttles?....I might be wrong, but I had a large poster of that boat above my bed for many of years when I was younger.
But I agree with the Cougar statments GFB |
That boat was Kaiser's boat. It was origanally the boat that was designed for the Mercury Turbo motors. Then it was Excalibur with Gentry/arenesons. It was then rigged with 1000 SC just for 1 race. Many of the OLD Express cats a BEAKS put on in order to step up in class, REGGIE had nothing to do with them.

Ryan:
The Fountain comment was a joke..........................hello!!!!!! The boat is definitely an Aluminum Cougar and originally had the MacLaren/Mercury project turbo motors in it. And yes.....Errol Lanier was the throttleman. It is the wierd beaks that we are focusing on....not the boat. Which is also not an RC boat. Man! this is a most confusing thread. T2x |
