Here’s a list of 24x7 derivatives. I’d look for one with a 454 and bravo. But if a 350 alpha combo wouldn’t be terrible either. 24 Adrenaline 24 Aero 24 Carrera 24 Cheetah 24 Cobra 24 Condor 24 Corsa 24 Excalibur 24 Jaws 24 Monza 24 P&D 24 Pantera 24 Panther 24 python 24 Seabird 24 Scorpion 24 Sunsation 24 Superboat Cigarette FireFox Progression 24 Lancer Twister 24 BRT “Stretchade” from 24x7 25 Martini 26 Martini 25 Corsa 26 Corsa 27 Excalibur 27 Activator 25 Sunsation Aggressor 25 Magnum Marine 32 Activator 27 Avanti 28 Garetta 26 Joker 27 Carrera 27 Chris Craft XK8 30 Superboat Y2K 30 Superboat CC 30 Superboat Tempest 27 Wellcraft Excalibur Speedster 31 IMP “cuted” from 24x7 22 Avanti |

Hey guys, I’m Travis and new to the forum. I grew up on cabin cruisers and over the past 5 years I’ve had a couple cheap boats of my own just so I could go out on the water. I’ve taken a couple years off from boating but I’m hoping to get back into it this year and was looking to you guys for advice. I’ve always wanted to own a Chris craft xk19 but I’m pretty sure I lost my only opportunity to own a reasonably priced one two years ago (was in the middle of refinishing my house so I couldn’t buy it!).
That being said, I’m in the market for something else. I’d like to stay around 24’ or under and easy to trailer as I have no plans leaving the boat in the Hudson River since it’s so dirty. I really like the way the donzi classics look and it seems as though people love or hate them. I’ve got a couple for sale near me (Hudson Valley,NY), one being in exceptional condition. I love the looks and style of the Cigarette 20 but it’s nowhere near my budget. I’ve also found a 1990 24’ Banana boat but the lack of literature on them leaves me questioning what the boat is worth. If anyone has any suggestions as to a good boat for my family I would appreciate it. I don’t really want to spend more than $13k if possible. I realize it’s a low budget but I have to start somewhere! Thanks in advance! |
Don't know anything about the boat. Just saw it listed.

Welcome! You can read about the Banana 24 here. Charlie McCarthy's banana boat co -- History of the 24 Footer Nice boat with a pedigree if you can find one in good condition. Going from the photos, the Checkmate above (Griff posting) looks extremely tidy. Check it out, that's a lot of boat for under 10k.If you don't do Fbook, find someone who does. https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...5060349bb6.jpg Happy shopping! RR |
Hudson Valley
Hi Trav91, I too am from the Poughkeepsie area. The Hudson Is dirty but I found that trailering was a pita. I keep it in the water at Whites Marina. Let me know what you decide. Good Luck!!!! The Hudson is very beautiful to boat on.
