How do I keep wingnuts attached to battery terminals?
The wingnuts keep vibrating off my battery terminals. Is there a way to keep the wingnuts tight? Would locktite be a good idea? Or using locknuts with plastic/nylon inserts? Or some other solution? thanks

When I had my OL surveyed last year I was told the the wingnuts on my batteries have to be changed for a regular nut. My insurance company required me to change them after seeing the survey.
As previously stated, do away with the wingnuts.

ALL marine engine manu s since the 80 s all note DO NOT USE WING NUTS at the batteries NEVER. and if you have a computer control engine this is one sure way of knocking out the ECM using wing nuts because they always come loose and creates voltage issues and spiking voltage and low voltage.
And that kind of voltage spiking and low voltage is hard on ignition parts as well and your battery cables.
