Nordic cabin door won’t close

just bought an 06 Heat closed bow. Was told inner switch needs replacing as it does not work. Now neither switches work. Verified no power to cabin switch and attempted a re-feed of power to it but still does not work. All fuses in fuse panel are good. Really needing help to get door operational.

Get yourself a voltage meter (a cheap one with a just a light will work) and start testing for voltage. Get on youtube and search for voltage meter video's so you know how to use it properly. The problem is likely at the switch. Test for the power going in and for power going out of the switch. If not the switch then perhaps the motor is bad.

It appears a tube with a spring wrapped black piece is coming off bottom of motor. It is not attached at other end. Not sure where it may have come loose from. Voltage at the inside switch is 13.4 volts. I’m going to attempt a replacement switch and see.

Does anyone have a diagram of the inside door mechanics? Wire, motor, track.etc

I have a Heat closed bow with the power cabin door also.

First thing I would check is the door fuse. There is a separate fuse for the door located under the drivers side cupholder. (This is because the fuse box is located inside the cabin). In mine it is an in-line fuse, which can bounce around in there, and you might even have to pull the throttles to locate it.

If the fuse is good, and you can get in there and determine the actual motor is burnt out, I have heard stories of ridiculous prices the get it replaced. A lot has to come out in order to get to it. If you do tackle it yourself, I have heard that the door motor is actually a Ford Mustang door window motor. So that might give you someplace to start.I have heard of people having to drill out the clamps on the cabin hatch to get back into their boats in the event of door motor failure

good luck with the fix. Let us know what it turns out to be.

under the cubholder, behind the throttles for door fuse.

Had four Nordic’s liquid is bang on its the fuse under the cup holder. Happened several times to us. Generally it was the kids pushing inside and outside switches at the same time. Easy fix.
