Don't worry, it is a very honest boat and not all that difficult to drive. Just take it easy while you are getting used to it. Any questions feel free to ask

You have to work the throttle in all boats if you catch air. If you don't you'll be banging the rev limiter and blowing up outdrives.

Any good tips or pointers?

Sorry, been on the road lately. This link is to a Reggie Fountain video but it has good info.

The best thing you can do is just go out and get some seat time driving the boat. You need to do this many times. Don't bring the family or a bunch of party friends.

You are on a mission to learn your boat. As you add people the way the boat handles will change .

Take a partner with you with a hand held GPS unit. Start slow and try trimming it to different levels, Try using the tabs and how the boat reacts.

You will figure out what the boat likes. Practice in calm water, rough water, and 1/4 ering situations. As you learn what the boat likes, you will learn how to drive it..

It is not that hard to drive a Velocity or any pad bottom boat, it just takes a little practice.

This is just good common sense for any boat. Every boat has it's own mannerisms. You just need to figure out what they are.

Because I have lots of seat time, and practiced driving in all conditions, I know I can drive my boat as good as it can be driven.

Be safe an practice!
