A question for all - Munchies

Ok guys, just putting up a simple post for fun, that anyone can reaspond too, no matter what kinda boat you have , or even if you don't have a boat.

What do you consider the best munchies to be, or what do you take with you when you're out on the water ?

I was gonna try the poll thing, but i figued this wouldn't limit us !

Mixed cocktail nuts rock! Almost always have some.
Lays Bistro gourmet chips are pretty damned good too! :D :D

Sydwayz 11-01-2002 01:14 PM

Chex mix in the bag, honey-nut variety.

Beer - is it a muchy, or necessity ? LOL

Just Say N2O 11-01-2002 01:25 PM

Bugles and/or Cashews. YUM! And for a rare treat Grandma Utz' chips from the brown bag, when I have recently been to PA to get them.

JUSTONCE 11-01-2002 01:26 PM

I prefer to bring lite foods along. No heavy sandwiches, cakes or pies. We'll pack fresh veggies and some type of dip, fresh fruits, seafood salds, cooked shrimp (pealed), things like that. Maybe fried chicken once in a while. I don't like to bring cookies or chips because they make such a mess, especially with the grandson aboard. If something messy does find it's way on I'll make whoever is having it sit on the swim platform to eat.
I also limit what can be brought along to drink. No berry juices, cool-aid, grape juice, some wine coolers, etc. Those things can really stain the vinyl. Soda, water, beer, Bacardi Silver (and others like it), among other things, are ok.
Sometimes I feel like a prick about these things but since I get no help in cleaning and maintaining the boat, I should be able to control what comes along.

Pistachios are the deal.

I make up my own mixture to a trail mix.

How about Muncho's. Always a favorite. Or, mix some Cream Cheese and Salsa together. Great dip for tortilla chips!!!!

Cheetos! And when you break down, it's always fun to watch the oil rings form when you throw them in the water while waiting for a tow!

Oh yeah, the friend who brings the homemade tamales! THE BEST!!

OldSchool 11-01-2002 03:30 PM

Nipples:D :D

G-Force 11-01-2002 03:31 PM

Cheese cubes, pepperoni slices, and "Chicken in a Basket" crackers!! Nummy!!!

By the way...I notice this thread is right by the "Is America Going to Pot" thread. Coincidence? I think not...:D :D

MitchStellin 11-01-2002 03:48 PM

Summer Sausage, Cheese and Triscits. I could live on this. Munch on it all day and you never have to stop for a "meal".:D Who has time to stop for a meal anyway. It is just a waste of time unless it is raining or something.

Lime Disease 11-01-2002 05:26 PM

Doritos+ Beer =:D

Consintracy 11-01-2002 05:59 PM

I like
veggie's and dip (Hidden Valley makes individual cups)
grapes (cleaned and in a tupperware bowl)
good deli meats and pre-sliced cheese (skip the bread-and everyone can roll their own) Lunchables are easy all together

Dislike
Cheeto's and Dorito's- (Cheedle finger's are not good!!)
