Here are all the MidOcean and the Scorpion Vtech boats I've been able to compile. Best I can tell the MidOceans were first, Glenn Deppe took a 23 Seacraft and stretched it 3 feet and added a lifting strake (80s). Then Scorpion acquired the molds and build some nicely finished versions in the 90s. No idea on the history of the 21 and 40.

Boatnation, do you know what happened to the Vtech molds that started as the MidOcean 26? I knew Glen Deppe until he passed away. I have searched for the molds for some time.

I wish he would post the history, I never got the scoop from Glenn. There was a manufacturer in Homestead that was building a Jessi 26 that looked VERY similar but I am not sure if they were the same molds. Could be modified Mid Ocean molds or maybe something completely different.

My 258 is still going great. Got rid of the 2x Yamaha 225s and went with a single Suzuki 350. Gets 3mpg at 33mph and tops out at 57 so far. Still need to bring the motor up a bit.
