Mooring covers

Hey folks... was curious what you guys are doing for full mooring covers for your boats. Is there any company in particular you are using and feel fit the best? Or are you guys doing custom canvas from local canvas shop. I ask because I just had a quote for my 311 to do a canvas from bow to stern and I’m about 2500-3000. ( had 5 quotes).

Im struggling to spend that kind of money on a cover yet I would like to protect the entire boat.

Thoughts ir comments?

Thanks.

Give carver covers a look
I don t have a custom cover but their style to fit. Covers come with different warranty coverage. Don t know if shops offer warranty on their covers and stand by it. My 7year warranty cover had an issue after 5years of use and was prorated so I upgraded to 10year warranty cover

I buy the supreme aqua shield. As I've stated before, besides full hydraulic steering, this is the best upgrade purchase I have ever bought for a boat. A week after I purchased my Active Thunder I bought a full cover for it. My Panthers cover is 14yrs old and I just turned it inside out and it is now new red again.

Thanks guys for that feed back. Very much appreciated. Do you ever keep your boat outside with that cover? Would it fit snug enough to keep rain at bay and from building up in areas?

Thanks again. May very well order that one you sent the link of.

It seems there's no way around it. Covers are expensive . I still think that the custom stamoid cockpit cover we had made for the Mag turned out to be the most important and best 'accessory' .
It's always good to get the best fabric that you can afford IMO .

Westland has a lot of good covers ~$500. You do need a pole to pitch it like a tent in the middle. I have a Westland cover and a cheap king canopy 27’ over that. It takes the stress off the cover to handle the rain and sun.

I like the Westland covers also.....I use Cover Quest , but they don't show a cover by Westland for a 311....only this one...

I have a national boat cover- wind storm model. I use it 6 months outside. I have to water proof it once a year. It will keep rain out.

My red cover has spent at least 5 summers outside. They come with straps that you put around my trailer and strap it tight. I purchased 2 poles and 2 vents that go in the cockpit to keep the cover angled to let water runoff. The cover has elastic around the whole outer edge and I do use it when I spend a week or so at the marine. I have thought about cinching it tight while on the trailer, with the poles in the cockpit, and marking then adding snaps to the cover that align with the original cockpit cover snaps.

Ok.... sounds like they are pretty good covers for the money. Thanks for the feedback guys.
