|
what isn't made in china now a days! The American flag we fly in front of our building was getting torn so we take a ride over to the local hardware store to grab a new one (wasn't a big box store like HD)...MADE IN CHINA!!! WTF!!!
came back did some quick searching and found https://www.usvetsnetwork.org/ American made flags and proceeds support veteran assistance programs. |
Many places now sell USA flags. Walmart too if I;m not mistaken.
BTW: We have a ton of vets around here (we even have a POW/MIA monument down the street), and they take the used flags.Call your local VFW and ask them if they do too. According to the guys that come in 'We give them a proper ceremony when 'disposed of.' someday I need to see how they do it. |
Merc does make some parts right here in the USA. The T bolt cap and the ign sensor is made by them in Florida, there is more especially on the outboard side. Boat Hulls are made in the USA just had to throw that one in haha

Enlighten me John.. Put it to the old Dayco and looks about the same.
|
My comments were a JOKE - ask some women about the dudes of that decent. In reference to the post above also : " that might explain the 1.4 billion people "
Merc hoses have been from Mexico and China for a while |
Anyone can respectfully burn a worn out flag.
|
I'm in the hose and fitting business in Arizona. The "curved hose" market has gone offshore due to the big domestics (Dayco & Gates) extremely long lead times, high minimums and predatory pricing. Ihave some OEM's I sell curved hoses to and they have to order well ahead of anticipated production times. WE (American suppliers) are creating that Chinese market through our desire to not deal in the smaller un-profitable stuff. China will.

Thank you for that explanation Fair Chase.
