With 2- 575's in it will the stock drives live in sometimes ocean waters and some inland? Driver is very easy on equipment. |
Is this something you are looking at???

That option would come with XR drives, I would think you would be OK driven smartly. That boat only weighs 9,300 LBS in the twin setup.

Hey Roy, not me I'm too happy with the HTM. It's a friend of mine.
obx it is a twin set up sorry I didn't mention it has twins and not trips |
better upgrade, I bet it would blow a drive or two a year, spend a little more now than a lot later

Remember the guy from Texas with the big Nortech? he had all kinds of XR problems- lots of wetted surface + heavy boat + blower torque are tough on drives, regardles of how gentle someone is. Kind of like having a superduty tow rig, towing the same boat, gently but with a 8.8" rear axle- just a bad application. I can bet someone can run the s/n's to see if there has been any warranty work on these.

This is a new boat and yes I do remember the Nortech post. It's what got me thinking about the Baja and it's drives. I'm sure the Nortech is much heavier but it also had 3 props trying to get it on a plane. The Baja will have to depend on two props.

XR's or not,I bet it would be a drive eater.
