My Closed Cooling Install
https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...3578dd37b.jpeg After 2 days in the bilge I finally got my Closed Cooling installed. Got the port motor fired up but ran out of time to fire off the starboard. Had some obstacles, mostly around fabricating a mount for relocating the PS pump because it uses the head bolts that the exchanger uses.... Looking forward to hopefully dumping it in tomorrow |

Pretty sano! Where does the water feed feed into the headers from now that it’s not coming from the crossover? |
There are 2 one inch pipes coming off the ends of the heat exchanger that feed to the headers. It's the CP performance kit. I had some back and forth with them on whether it would fit a tall deck or not. They were going to build me a custom one if not, but after mocking one up their standard kit worked for a 10.2 deck. I will say that I worked with Jeff at Hardin Marine on this and he was the best to deal with. Always answered the phone, emails, etc.... |
I am going to feel so good about life now. I was always one of those guys that could hardly enjoy myself knowing that salt water was in my engines even though we would only do a lunch run and then put it right back on the lift and flush - I just couldn't relax and was always kind of in a rush to go back home. This boat also has aluminum heads so I didn't even want to splash it before I got this done.... |
