Default Does arnesons still sell #8 drives ?

Was wondering if the company is still in business? Aren’t arnesons and rik that sells the asd #7 drives different companies? Thanks in advance for any info.

There was a thread recently about someone having problems with Rik. Don't know how it was resolved but what I got out of it was that Rik and the 7's were not the same as Arneson and the 8's on up. The problem was with Rik and not Arneson.

thats the same thread that I learned about there being two different companies.

It looks like twin disc owns arnesons now or partnered up with them. They have a full listing of all their drives.

There is a dealer near me in Cartagena.

I plan to see what drive I need to put behind a pair of 440 hp cummins 6cyl engines with a 2 to 1 gear and try to find a set used. Then have the local dealer freshen them up and install them on the boat we plan to build.

I believe Twin Disc has owned Arneson for quite some time now. I had some Twin Disc transmissions worked on at an authorized service center once. Even by marine standards it was ridiculously expensive. Could have bought brand new top of the line Huber / BAM for less than having those worked on. Now the Hubers wouldn't have worked in my application so that wasn't an option but just a cost comparison.
