Those are Pro-Parts gauges by Sulley Performance, or at least that use to be the name. They were actually manufactured by a member on this forum but the brand was sold to Auto-Meter i believe. Very cool gauge and extremely adaptable. Each gauge has a parameter that you can pre set as a warning. Lets say you want you minimum oil pressure to be ten pounds, the gauge can be set so that as pressure approaches the limit the entire face of the gauge will turn red at say fifteen pounds and at ten will turn solid red or whatever limits you like. I have several sets of them that i got before the company was sold. I am saving them for a special build. Very cool gauge, its kinda funny they sort of look like cheap JC Whitney tuner stuff. . . . they most certainly are not cheap. I was told (at that time) pretty much every Nascar team runs them although i suspect now its all a single screen kind of thing. I have a pillar set in my motor home for fuel press, trans and engine temp. Was in traffic and the face of the engine temp went red at two hundred ten and i caught it out the corner of my eye, gave me a chance to keep an eye on it and get moving to cool things down
this video shows how they work. |
Awesome gauge for a boat, you literally would not have to look at the dash. Extremely durable gauge to, owner told me one of the issues they had was that several nascar teams were literally taking gauge sets from their previous cars and running them in the new cars because they never go bad. Was also told you can drop them in a bucket of water while on and not have an issue. Fully sealed and water proof as well as all stainless for any metals used. Auto Meter makes them now under SPEK Pro or something like that . . . . . I still like gauges in a boat, you can have that smart craft stuff lol (although i know it is better) https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.off...5336dd5310.jpg

Those are BAD-FREAKIN-AZZ!!! Why did those not sell like hotcakes? I get they're minimum of double the price of other gauges but you'd think all the race teams would want them as well as all the super high end custom builds. Those are beautiful gauges. :drool1:
