Their 40 footer is pretty sweet.

40 Hustler you may want to introduce yourself, and give a full explanation on what your problem with Activator is. To have your second post be a negative one is not the way to start out.
If you have some valuable information to share with us please do. There are always two sides to every story. Acivator has won the National Championship in Factory 1, that has some merit. They must build a fast boat. Is your problem with the boat or the company?

I think Activator has won the national title for the second consecutive year. i have only met mark a couple times and he has been great to me. he's one of the "nicer" guys in offshore racing.

hey 40 hustler,if youve got a problem with mark,you need to talk to him.......he's a straight up guy......if youve got a problem or question just ask........sold one of his boats and no problem we couldnt solve..........

Don't you just love how new OSO members always seem to have a negative first post. Those same people never seem to talk about anything else after they have thrown a few stones.

Dude, Activator has more credibility than you do. You need to tell us about your self and your problem. Not just drop a turd and leave.

I love my Activator and think Mark is a great guy, so I'd love to hear more too!

I think this is a rough idea of what's going on.

Hustler 40 bought a 32 from mark at Activator. He put down a deposit and was expecting delivery around May. Mark did not have his boat completed by May and still had alot of work to do on it. Hustler 40 went and bought a hustler in the mean time and called Mark for his deposit back. Mark said ok, I will return your deposit when I sell the boat. Mark has still not sold the boat.
Bottom line is that hustler 40 did not get his boat when he was suppose to and bought another boat. In this business if you expect to get a custom built boat on the date that the manufacturer tells you, you're kidding yourself. I'm not saying that it is right, but many boat company's a deliver boats many months after they are suppose to. I think we all have a story of not having a boat when we were suppose to have it by.
Mark is a stand up guy and when he sells your 32 I'm sure he will give you your money back. This all would been avoided if Activator had delivered the boat when it was suppose to, but that rarely happens in the boat business. I hope everything works out for both parties.

Mark is a great guy, I'm sure he will make it right when he can,
unfortunately, the small custom builders do everything themselves, usually the guy
answering the phone is the same guy spraying the gellcoat, laying the glass and rigging the
boat thats why you get a great boat with no shortcuts but also why they take forever to
get you your boat. I visit Marks shop frequently, he always has several projects going at
once I'm sure he will take care of you when he can.

If the delivery date was missed by what would appear to be more than just a few months than WTF.
Because I dont know any of these players and Im sure there were many conversations that I was certainly not privy to, I in no way direct this towards Activator.
