Surface Drive...

Anyone use this type of drive. I have a Cafe and am considering dumping the damm Bravo's and going with the Pulse Drive. Any info on any type of surface pericing drive system would help (Arenson, Trimax, etc.).

There is or was a 46t Scarab on
Tortola BVI thats got twin Arnesions with drop boxs.
I Rerigged it fo the owner of
Pussers but he sold a few months ago.
Im think its still in the Virgin Islands.
Check it out try to get a ride.
Surface drives feel a little
different so I would get a ride
in one, There great in your area for getting into some shallow water and protecting the Coral.

Drove a 30 Sutphen Ocean Pacer with Kaama drives. What a rush! It was a quick boat that rode really well in 4+ swells. Surface drives will definitely help your top end. Be careful to consult a pro about the swap. It will change your trim leverage.

Hi Guys,

Catamando, check you PM.

Mike, so Charles got and sold a bigger boat... I remember his Cig with the diesels and arenson's. Can you get enough bow lift from the surface drives? I am personally looking at the Pulse drive. Similar to Arneson, but trims the whole shaft(s) and steers with rudders. I'll see if Charles knows the wearabout of his boat (I have shared a few "painkillers" with him over the years).

Christian, explain "trim leverage". Thanks!
